Thank you for shopping at The Knit Tree. We appreciate all our customers.  After over 50 years of operating The Knit Tree.  I am still phasing into my semi-retirement plan.  My goal is to continue offering you quality custom knit products by narrowing down the number of knits we offer.  For the present time I will not be taking custom orders for the knit Winona Camo™ garments: jackets, pants, vests, hoodies, ect. on the web site until I get caught up with my existing orders.   I will keep some of  the Winona Camo™ hat category, the Native American, and Yarn, Kits and Patterns categories. I will be updating the online store to reflect these changes and look forward to hearing from you in the coming years.

Our Satisfaction Guarantee

We want you to be satisfied with all of our products - In general - If you are not satisfied let us know right away and we will replace or refund your product. Please note customized items are not returnable unless defective. Please read our other guidelines below.



Items which are reported defective within 15 calendar days of receipt will be replaced or refunded by The Knit Tree or its manufacturers once verified. Claims after 15 calendar days will be replaced at the discretion of The Knit Tree. Please note that wrinkling of 100% cotton fabrics is normal after washing and is not a valid reason or a defect requiring replacement of item.


All Items are covered and warranted for 30 calendar days from the date of receipt at your door against any manufacturing defects. The Knit Tree is not responsible for normal wear and tear, abuse, or damages due to improper washing or drying.

Personalized Items

The specialized services that The Knit Tree offers in the "Personalized Category" and the custom knit camouflage garments are individual, 'custom' orders. Therefore, all sales are final. See the special instructions that apply to each different type of item by its product description.

Unused Items (does not apply to "Personalized" - see note under Personalized)

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason we will replace the item or refund your money during the first 14 days, minus shipping and handling charges. All merchandise must be returned with the original packaging materials (insert cards, plastic bags, etc.) and must not have been washed or damaged or used. The customer is responsible to notify The Knit Tree, obtain an RMA (return merchandise authorization) and to ship it to our correct address. The customer also accepts responsibility for shipments being lost in transit and agrees to notify The Knit Tree BEFORE shipping new merchandise back to The Knit Tree.



Shipping Policy

US Services
 All in stock merchandise is shipped within four working days. (Monday - Friday) You will be notified of any delays.  Custom knit orders vary upon product.  See product description for approximate delivery time.  All custom knitting is first come first serve

 All orders are sent USPS Priority Mail unless requested otherwise.  Large orders can be sent by UPS ground.

International Services

We can ship most items worldwide. Shipping and handling charges will vary when shipping to another country. We use the USPS service to calculate your shipping choice based upon the destination country and weight of order.

The Knit Tree items are all soft goods. The smaller items like caps and headbands weigh less than 8 ounces. Blankets weigh between 1 to 2 lbs dependent upon fiber.  The weight is calculated in the checkout process.   Our Merchant Gateway through Paypal can handle most International shipments. They automatically make the currency exchanges for most countries. Duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer when shipping to Canada, and of the recipient when shipping to other countries.

Please Note: International orders must be paid in advance either through our merchant gateway or with a verified cashiers check or international money order in USD. Your order will be knit and shipped after payment clears our bank. This is due to security issues with international orders and to protect our customers. Thank you for your understanding.
